When I set out to turn this idea into a sustainable swimwear brand, I was driven by a commitment to carry on my mother's legacy of creativity, determination, and environmental stewardship. Enrica Caliri, the founder and designer of Piuma Swimwear, is a European native who moved to New York City a decade ago to build her family and pursue her dreams. With a background in economics and a lifelong passion for fashion, Enrica taught herself to sew and turned her dream of becoming a designer into reality. Inspired by her love of nature and a desire to create a better planet for her children, Enrica has infused her brand with eco-conscious principles and a deep commitment to sustainability.

Every Piuma piece is thoughtfully designed using OEKO-TEX certified organic cotton, providing a "second skin" sensation that allows you to move freely and confidently.

This commitment to quality and sustainability is a reflection of the values instilled in me by my mother, as well as the shared mission Lesly and I have for creating a brand that makes a positive impact.

In a way, Piuma is a tribute to my mother's creative spark and her profound connection to nature. But it's also a testament to the power of friendship, collaboration, and carrying forward a meaningful legacy.
